Radio Frequency Identification

The 40.685Mhz model 2033 receiver has a black aerial wire approx. 180cms long, (6 feet) the aerial wire on the 300Mhz receiver (model 1090) is appox. 25cms (11 inches) long

The operating frequency is shown on a white label on the
back of the receiver unit and
also on the original handset

We only stock 40.685Mhz Stanley Multicode transmitters type 3079, these are compatible with Stanley model 2033 receiver units and Stanley model ET380 garage door operators only and conform to UK and European spec.

 

A large number of American FCC specification 300Mhz model 3089 handsets and type 1090 receivers have been imported into to the UK from the USA - although identical in appearance
to the UK approved 40.685Mhz units,
300Mhz transmitters are not permitted
to be used in the United Kingdom

Compatibility

Each remote control system manufacturer uses a unique security code protocol,
therefore the above transmitters can only be used with the specific make & model
of equipment for which they were intended and will not be compatible with any
other make of remote control system even if the radio frequency is the same

Security Coding
MultiCode transmitters have ten binary switches inside to set the security code to one of 1024 combinations. The handset security code DIP switches will be found inside the battery cover, the receiver security code switches are located inside a small access door on the receiver casing. The receiver & handset code switches must be set to the same sequence

For security reasons the following code switch combinations should be avoided as they may result in unwanted operation from a neighbours handset :- all switches 'on', all switches 'off', and alternate switches 'on & off'
